The Thomas in the Hat

Things here have been good, but I haven't blogged about anything for some reason.  I guess we're just doing our thing, playing outside when it's nice, inside when it's not, and I haven't had anything super monumental to talk about.  

But yesterday, I looked into the living room and saw this:

Thomas, eating an apple, under a blanket, inside the house . . . wearing this hat.  Again.

When I ran in a 5K in November, and Alex ran in the Kids Fun Run, we both got hats in our goodie bags.

This is me in my race hat and Alex in his regular winter hat.

Both boys have regular winter hats -- Thomas even has a monkey one Nana bought him.

But he likes this hat.  

Sure, it makes sense that he wears it outside when it's cold.

But sometimes, we'll be outside on a warm day, and he'll say, "I need my hat."  And he runs inside to get it.  Even if it's 70 degrees outside.

I'm starting not to recognize him without it.

That's another one of the crazy things that happen on Boomerang Drive!

Easter Egg Hunt

One of my favorite things about being a stay at home mom is being able to have complete freedom to pretty much do whatever we want to do whenever we want to do it.  I was babysitting for my friend's 2 little girls this morning, and it was a beautiful morning to be outside.  I called 2 friends on my street and said, "Let's have an Easter egg hunt in my backyard!"  



The kids had a great time, played outside for 2 hours, and stayed for lunch.  I love being able to do things like that!
