Hey everyone! It's already December 10, and we are well into Advent mode around here! This is what we've been up to for the past 10 days:
Day 1: We made a paper countdown chain. Each day, the boys will take turns removing a link from the bottom of the chain, to help them see how long it will be until Christmas.
Day 2: We got out all of our Christmas books. The boys really had fun with them.
Day 3: We bought mittens and scarves to donate to the mitten tree at the library.
Day 4: We made snowflakes and decorated the boys' rooms.
Day 5: We made Christmas placemats with friends.
Day 6: We did a Christmas lights scavenger hunt. The boys had a checklist of things to look for, such as a blow-up snowman and a house with blinking lights.
Day 7: We went to see the Christmas model train display that the boys look forward to every year. It also involves a scavenger hunt.
Day 8: We painted ornaments that the boys will give as gifts.
Day 9: We made salt dough cutout ornaments. Messy, but fun.
Day 10: We had some snow, so they played in the snow and drank hot chocolate.
It is definitely beginning to look and feel a lot like Christmas!
That's what's happening on Boomerang Drive!
